Summary:
Medium-sized scout vessels of the latter 24th century. This class is the only one to have a single warp nacelle. The Freedom class is a newer starship design, incorporating an ellipsoid hull and one Galaxy type warp nacelle. Freedom-class ships serve as deep-space defensive starships, the Firebrande destroyed at Wolf 359 was of this class.
